Legionella Assessment

There are at least 34 species of legionella which cause legionnaires’ disease. Legionella is widespread in natural water sources but can also live in man-made water systems such as those found in dental premises.

As a result it is important to ensure that your premises are free of the organism, you have a responsibility to:

  • Identify and assess risk sources.
  • Prepare a scheme for preventing or controlling the risk.
  • Implement and manage precautions.
  • Keep records of precautions implemented.

We understand the specific risks that can be present within dental premises, we are able to conduct a full and complete legionella assessment in a timely manner, providing a comprehensive report and any subsequent recommendations to ensure that you comply with current legislation and avoid prosecution.
